EV maker River opens store

Hyderabad: Bengaluru-based River, an EV manufacturer on Wednesday launched its first store in the city. Launched in collaboration with Sri Rajarajeshwara EV Mobility at Kukatpally, the outlet spread across 1,000 sft, is house to River offerings including Indie, accessories and merchandise. Aravind Mani, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, River, said: “After the success of our flagship store in Bengaluru, we are excited to enter Hyderabad.
The demand for electric scooters is high in Telangana, as the initial pre-orders received from this city is a testament to that demand. Our goal is to establish River Indie as a distinctive vehicle in the region, offering both style and convenience together. Going ahead, we plan to expand to more than 100 cities over the next two years.”
Indie is priced at Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom, Hyderabad). The startup plans to enter new cities including Chennai, Kochi, Coimbatore, Trivandrum, Ahmedabad, Surat, Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur, in the next few months. By year-end, the brand plans to be present in more than 50 cities in India.
